Catholic Voice is Ireland's traditional Catholic newspaper, published every fortnight since our first issue on the Feast of the Annunciation in 2009. We exist to proclaim the faith, the Mass and the moral teaching of the Church clearly and without apology — and to give faithful Catholics a paper they can trust, read, and pass on.We are a not-for-profit apostolate. Every euro raised goes to the work: writing, printing and circulating the paper, and supporting the wider mission it serves.

What we hold

These convictions are at the heart of everything we publish:

Marriage — the exclusive, lifelong union of one man and one woman — is the foundation of a stable and flourishing society, and the greatest protector of children, born and unborn.The separation of the procreative and unitive ends of the marital act, intrinsic to the use of contraception, has been a major catalyst of the culture of death.Parents are the primary educators of their children, and the protection of that right is essential to building a new culture of life.It is the solemn duty of the local bishop to teach the sacred doctrine of the Church without fear — and the duty of the laity to encourage and support him in doing so.Our secular society carries a bias against the Church, fuelled by the mainstream media, which in turn breeds anti-Christian attitudes. The only answer is to proclaim the truths of the Gospel without fear.That last conviction is why this paper exists. The Church's own law affirms it:
